agentguard-eu is an open-source Python SDK for EU AI Act compliance. It wraps your LLM calls with runtime enforcement, audit logging, content policies, contextual disclosures, and human escalation.

Why This Matters

The EU AI Act (Regulation (EU) 2024/1689) is already in force. Prohibited AI practices (Article 5) have applied since February 2025. Transparency and GPAI obligations (Articles 51-56) apply from August 2025. Transparency obligations (Article 50) and high-risk system requirements (Articles 6-49) apply from August 2, 2026.

The regulation defines risk tiers and imposes different obligations on providers (who build AI systems) and deployers (who use them). Most startups don't know which obligations apply to them yet.

Enterprise compliance platforms cost six figures and take months to deploy. Developers deserve better: runtime middleware that enforces compliance on every LLM call, from day one, for free.
